Middle-Georgia students 10 years and up are invited to audition for a talent showcase with a grand prize trip to Las Vegas to perform at the Las Vegas Defenders basketball game.

“Campus Club Milledgeville is a place that allows students to follow their dreams,” said Campus Club Milledgeville assistant director Toyia Barnes. “This opportunity gives them a peak into what possibilities are out there in the world.”

Auditions will be held in January; entry fee is $10 per person. This competition allows both small groups and individual acts. The top ten groups or individuals to audition will go on to compete in the talent showcase on February 8, 2013. The Talent Showcase grand prize winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas.

Celebrity trainer Kent Buckner approached Campus Club Milledgeville and suggested the collaboration.

“I have been working with kids for years now and wanted to give back from the community that helped me grow.” Buckner says. “Having a chance to do what you love in front of a live audience will change how you see yourself as an entertainer.”

This opportunity could be a life-changing experience for the winner of the grand prize performance.

The Grand Prize, an all-expense trip to perform in Las Vegas, is an unique experience that will create life-long memories.

Executive director of Campus Club Gregory Barnes believes “this is a testament to the potential of what CCM can provide to middle-Georgia's local artists.” “We believe this is only the beginning of opportunities for the community.”

This event is sponsored by Campus Club Milledgeville, the Las Vegas Defenders, Keith Buckner, and the Black Student Alliance at Georgia College.
