Robins Federal Credit Union recently renewed its sponsorship of the American Red Cross of Central Georgia’s 2012 Hometown Heroes celebration.

The celebration honors exceptional public servants in the categories of Law Enforcement, Military, Fire Rescue, Emergency Response, Disaster Relief, Community Impact, Good Samaritan, Guardian Angel, International, and Paving the Way Youth.

The American Red Cross accepted nominees for each of these categories. Nominees had to reside or work in the counties the American Red Cross of Central Georgia serves – Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Crawford, Dodge, Hancock, Houston, Johnson, Jones, Jasper, Laurens, Monroe, Peach, Putnam, Taylor, Treutlen, Twiggs, Washington, and Wilcox Counties.

The winners will be announced at a breakfast to honor the heroes. The breakfast will take place at Macon State College’s Macon campus on May 4 at 8:00 a.m.

“Robins Federal Credit Union believes strongly in giving back to the Central Georgia community, and we are pleased to honor local citizens who have gone above and beyond to strengthen our communities and help others,” Chris Spicer, Marketing Manager for Robins Federal Credit Union, said.
