Former Eatonton Police Involved in Collision with Log Truck

EATONTON – Georgia State Patrol troopers are awaiting toxicology reports before charging former Eatonton Police Officer Frank Day with driving under the influence after a head-on collision with a log truck on U.S. Highway 441, Monday morning, in Putnam County.
The collision, which spilled logs over much of the highway, occurred in the northbound lane, south of the General Putnam Motel, on a two-lane section of the highway.
