MADISON – Morgan County educators would take another hefty hit in their paychecks under proposals to close an estimated $2.9 million gap between projected revenues and expenditures during the upcoming 2013-2014 academic year.

Unveiled during a town hall meeting in Buckhead last week, the proposals by Superintendent Dr. Ralph Bennett would delete local salary supplements for all certified personnel, saving the school system about $1.03 million.
