Click It or Ticket Launches in Central Georgia

If you don't buckle up on Georgia's roads and highways, you'll have to pay up.

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety launched its annual Click It or Ticket effort this week, with a Central Georgia kick-off Tuesday at the Houston County Sheriff's Department in Warner Robins.

The program means heightened patrols and a zero-tolerance policy for drivers who don't wear their seatbelts.  It continues through June 3.

GOHS Director, Harris Blackwood, explained more about the program on Eyewitness News Mornin' Tuesday in a conversation with 13WMAZ's Brittiny Barber.
