New OFTC Local Board of Directors Sworn Into Office | Schools
During its local board of directors meeting on Thursday, August 28th at its Sandersville Campus, Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) welcomed five new local board members: Mr. Tuttle Barksdale of Washington County, Mrs. Judy Deal of Glascock County, Mr. Robert Herndon of Telfair County, Mr. Gary Hutchins of Jefferson County, and Mr. Benji Tarbutton of Washington County.
Judge Sherri McDonald, Juvenile Court Judge for the Middle Judicial Circuit for the state of Georgia, presided over the swearing-in of the new members.
The fifteen-member board is made up of community leaders representing the OFTC service delivery area, which includes Bleckley, Dodge, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Laurens, Telfair, Warren, Washington, Wheeler, and Wilkinson counties:
Mr. Bern Anderson, Chairman (Washington County), Mr. Ben Harvill, Vice Chairman (Dodge County), Mr. Ken Bibb (Washington County), Mr. Tuttle Barksdale (Washington County), Mrs. Judy Deal (Glascock County), Ms. La Tunya Goodwin (Hancock County), Mr. Karl Haywood (Warren County), Mr. Robert Herndon (Telfair County) Mr. Gary Hutchins (Jefferson County), Mr. Wayne McDaniel (Laurens County), Mrs. Sandra McNeal (Wheeler County), Mr. Chris Steeley (Bleckley County), Mr. Benji Tarbutton (Washington County) Mr. Earnest Wade, Jr. (Laurens County), and one seat is currently open for Wilkinson County.
