OFTC Students Get New Cutting Edge Pyxis System

As Allied Health students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) prepare for employment, it is important for them to be knowledgeable about the latest technology used in the pharmacies and hospitals where they will one day be working. OFTC’s new Pyxis® MedStation® System funded with a Carl Perkins grant provides both Pharmacy Technology and Practical Nursing students with the latest in medication management technology, making them more marketable as graduates and ensuring the safety of the patients.

New OFTC Board of Directors Sworn Into Office

During its local board of directors meeting on Thursday, August 29th at its Sandersville Campus, Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) welcomed four new board members and recognized four retiring members.

Mr. Chris Steeley, Vice President of SSI Maxim Company, Inc., will represent Bleckley County. Ms. La Tunya Goodwin, Local Manager for Georgia Power Company in Sparta, will represent Hancock County. Mr. Earnest Wade, Jr., a retired educator and principal from the Dublin City School system, will represent Laurens County. Mr. Ken Bibb, President of The Geo. D. Warthen Bank in Sandersville, will represent Washington County.

Judge Kathy Palmer, Superior Court Judge for the Middle Judicial Circuit for the state of Georgia, presided over the swearing-in of the new members.
